In a unexpected collaboration that challenges traditional forecasts, the game developer has unveiled an digital collaboration between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the renowned anime series Attack on Titan. The unexpected Thanksgiving event runs from November 25 through December 22, offering free bonus story content for Shadows players.

Mysterious Questline Disclosed

According to the official release, "An unusual encounter draws heroes Naoe and Yasuke into a original mission, where rumors of prohibited ceremonies and monstrous metamorphoses echo through the obscurity." The plot presents a "strangely attired woman named Ada" who charges the characters with journeying into the Crystalline Cavern—a significant location from Attack on Titan—to liberate her companion from a clandestine group.

The adventure centers on "peculiar experiments and a monstrous enemy" and is accessible to all players who have unlocked the Yasuke character.

Familiar Settings and Changes

The trailer highlights the Subterranean Sanctuary from Attack on Titan reimagined as the Crystal Cave. This significant location was earlier where the Reiss royal family transmitted the Founding Titan ability through eras. The teaser finishes with a striking scene showing a character, likely the prisoner, transforming into a Titan that towers over Naoe and Yasuke.

Special Rewards and Extra Material

Players who successfully complete the quest will receive an exclusive katana together with numerous objects concealed throughout the area in secret chests. The update also contains in-store Attack on Titan item packs, offering:

Newest Free Story Addition

This patch also introduces the game's third complimentary story episode, titled "The Mystery." Loyal to its name, "The Mystery" also contains a original environmental puzzle that may ultimately explain some unresolved questions from the main storyline.
